Doug Griffin is the Co-founder and CEO of Nomadic, an immersive virtual reality company creating a new model and medium of entertainment. Drawing from over 20 years of experience in visual effects, motion capture technology, film and gaming, Griffin oversees business development and studio direction for the company, which operates with a mission bring its scalable model of immersive, virtual reality (VR) entertainment to communities everywhere.
In his decades-spanning career in entertainment, Doug has contributed to some of the most successful and beloved film franchises of all time, including Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter. In addition to his work in motion capture and visual effects at film and gaming studios including ILM and Electronic Arts, Griffin holds the patent for an actor-mounted motion capture camera, which was used to capture facial movement in groundbreaking visual effects films including Disney’s A Christmas Carol and Tron: Legacy.
