Prior to founding Wevr, Anthony was the president of digital at Ashton Kutcher’s Katalyst, an innovative media studio creating programming for television, film, and the social web. Together with Ashton, he co-founded Thrash Lab, a media venture with YouTube exploring and defining culture through award winning digital content programming and strategy for brands including GE, Intel, Virgin Mobile, and Nikon.
In 2007, as founder and CEO of Buzznet (now SpinMedia), Anthony built the most popular pop culture lifestyle company from the ground up, ultimately reaching more than 180 million unique visitors worldwide. Anthony created and acquired media properties and talent including Just Jared, Egotastic, Celebuzz, Fall Out Boy, and Paramore.
Earlier in his career, Anthony was co-founder and chief technology officer of media distribution platform turned big data company, EMC|Greenplum (now Pivotal), where he first met his Wevr co-founders, Neville Spiteri and Scott Yara. Anthony also co-founded Digital Threads, a web-consulting agency with Craig Newmark where they created a small mailing list called craigslist.org.
