Jason Kirk
Jason Kirk is the Chief Business Officer for ZEFR, a video technology company helping the biggest rights holders and brands in the world maximize video opportunities across social platforms. In this role, Jason oversees the company’s business development, rights management, channel sales, client solutions and influencer divisions. Clients include nearly every major Hollywood studio and TV network, all the music majors, multiple Fortune 100 brands and platforms that include Google, Facebook and SoundCloud.
Prior to ZEFR, Jason was Vice President of Content & Distribution at Ustream, Inc., the world’s largest live broadcast platform with over 50M monthly users worldwide that was sold to IBM earlier this year. In that role, Mr. Kirk handled all content and distribution partnerships for the platform. Partnerships included CBS, MTV, Twitter, Google and the infamous “Winning!” live broadcasts from Charlie Sheen.
Prior to Ustream, Mr. Kirk was Vice President of Video & Entertainment at MySpace, and was on the founding team of MySpace Video. Before that, he was the Director of Sales & Marketing at HBO in their business development group.
Mr. Kirk earned his degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder. He currently is an executive committee member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences as well as a volunteer/mentor to both CoachArt and the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. Jason loves surfing, traveling and time with family and friends. He lives with his wife and son in Los Angeles.
