James Leaverton is co-founder and vice president of ecosystems at StackPath, the intelligent web services platform for security, speed, and scale. StackPath launched in July 2016, when it announced its initial $180M funding and the acquisition of four companies. Two more acquisitions were announced in February of 2017, and June of 2018. James provides ultimate oversite of StackPath’s ecosystem programs: StackPath Propel – focused on early and growth stage companies, and StackPath Amp – focused on the developer and open source communities.
Before co-founding StackPath, James developed a successful 20-year career at Ricoh USA in account management, most recently as director of managed services. During his tenure at Ricoh USA, James was focused on the customer experience through the development of quality standards and processes for the Pacific Northwest region and provided leadership, operational management and profitable delivery of services to enterprise and mid-market organizations.
James holds a Bachelor of Art degree from the University of North Texas, and has earned several certifications in business, management, finance and human resources. A fifth-generation Texan, James has lived in Portland, Oregon for more than 20 years, and is an avowed Pacific Northwesterner.
