Geoffrey DeStefano is an award winning C-level Advertising & Marketing and Entertainment & Media Executive. He has extensive global management experience in building iconic brands, developing creative content, and deploying digital distribution and production strategies for both large multi- national as well as small entrepreneurial organizations. His diverse experience with bluechip brands and premier entertainment properties, coupled with his management capabilities, vision and global outlook, provide him with a unique perspective on today’s changing digital business environment and make him one of the very few C-level executives that truly understands both industries and how to build global brands through content and entertainment programming.
In 2015 Geoffrey founded Brand Programming Studios to take advantage of the dynamic changes in content creation and distribution for both brands and entertainment companies. Taking advantage of his deep roots in Hollywood (Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., Technicolor, Deluxe, Electus) and his years of global brand building (P&G, McDonalds, Red Bull, Porsche, GM, Wrigley, Ferrero, Kraft) Geoffrey successful built BP Studios into strong award winning strategic and creative company.
As President of Jason Bateman and Will Arnett’s award winning Digital Entertainment Company, Dumbdumb, Geoffrey helped build it into one of Creativity and Ad Age’s Top 50 creative companies in 2011, and created ground breaking branded content for the likes of Wrigley, GM, Denny’s, Blackberry, Virgin and Old Navy. Dumdumb was backed by Barry Diller’s IAC Interactive Corp. and Ben Silverman’s next generation studio, Electus.
As a Creative Executive in the Entertainment business, he worked for Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, and Technicolor as well as with top Hollywood talent and on numerous films, television shows and pilots, including: Mad About You, Party of Five, Action, and Friends.
Earlier in his career Geoffrey was President and CEO of Red Bull’s creative and media agency overseeing all creative and media strategies as well as leading Red Bull’s decidedly alternative and innovative content, sponsorship and event programming. In addition to Red Bull, he drove tremendous agency growth by winning business from Porsche, Ubisoft, Breville, and Kenwood.
Geoffrey also runs DeS Media & Communications a consultancy that works with the clients in the marketing, media and technology and functions as a holding company for Geoffrey’s businesses.
Under the DeS umbrella, as a Board member and interim President & CEO of Revenue.com, a Native Ad-Tech company, Geoffrey successfully lead a $10 million exit in 2016.
Geoffrey was also a founding partner and Chief Marketing Officer of the highly touted technology and mobile entertainment start-up, PlayMG Corporation. As an entrepreneur he wore many management hats, and was instrumental in driving PlayMG’s go to market strategy, cutting ground breaking celebrity partnerships and securing distribution in Target, Toys R Us and Amazon.
Geoffrey was originally trained at the Leo Burnett Company and is an industry thought leader in alternative marketing and branded content. Throughout his career he has helped build some of the world’s most iconic brands like: Red Bull, P&G, Kraft, Marlboro, GM, Porsche, LVMH, Virgin and McDonald’s.
Geoffrey also has extensive hands on global management experience from years of living and working in Europe, Japan, Hong Kong/China and the rest of Asia.
