Michael Hale serves as Vice President of Media Systems Architecture at Discovery where he oversees the company’s non-linear distribution scheduling and supply-chain toolset.

Since joining Discovery in 2017, Michael has developed a digital distribution system to support the company’s digital content publishing, CMS Systems and ad platform integrations. Michael has also designed and managed Discovery’s technology roadmap, which is used to track and prioritize development efforts and investment plans.

Prior to Discovery, Michael served as Director of Product Management, Platform for Avid, where he designed and built asset management solutions including Media Central, a comprehensive media workflow platform that is used in news, sport, and content post-production. Michael began his career working as an editor and 3D animator. He also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
