Kevin Chernett was appointed Executive Vice President of Global Partnerships & Content Distribution for the Live Nation in 2015. Prior he served as EVP of Strategic Partnerships and Growth Development and headed up strategic alliances efforts for the Media & Sponsorship group since December 2009. He currently oversees the company’s global content distribution efforts. Kevin has worked for Live Nation and its predecessors since 2003, when he joined the company as Vice President of National Sales & Marketing. In 2008 he became Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances and helped grow the Live Nation Media & Sponsorship Division which is one of the key pillars of the organization today.
The Live Nation Global Partnership & Content Distribution team is responsible for establishing partnerships for distribution, AR/VR development plus management of key partnerships including Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, Apple, Snapchat, Hulu, NextVR, AT&T, Dish, Yahoo and RedBullTV to name a few.
Over the past year, Kevin has built an in-house team of industry experts to amplify the live music experience through digital platforms and emerging technology; including groundbreaking virtual reality programming, live-streaming and live stories via Snapchat and Twitter. Highlights include, a partnership with Samsung to broadcast the Coldplay concert live in virtual reality in 50+ countries around the world. Most recently inked a partnership with Google Daydream and RedbullTV to stream Lollapalooza live in virtual reality. Kevin led Oculus Go VR Concert events featuring A$AP Ferg for their ‘Venues” product launch. Beyond VR, and proven success, Kevin expanded Live Nation’s Concert series on Twitter to include exponentially more live-streaming of marquee festivals and concerts from some of the world’s most sought-after artists including G- Eazy, Imagine Dragons, St. Vincent, Jack White, MØ, Luke Bryan, Niall Horan, A$AP Ferg, Macklemore, 21 Savage, Zac Brown Band, Zedd, Lindsey Sterling, and many more. To round out Kevin’s year, his team crafted a unique partnership with Snapchat to curate more than 20 “stories” across an array of festivals in the Live Nation portfolio from around the world, including Lollapalooza, Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC), Bonnaroo, VFest (U.K.) and Splender in the Grass (Australia).
Kevin came to Live Nation from MusicVision, Inc. a company he co-founded in April 1998 where he served on its Board of Directors and as the company’s Executive Vice President of Sales since inception.
Kevin is a graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Speech Communications.
